3 inches tall, 6 inches wide and a base 2.75 inches wide, this lightly spalted mystery wood has a nice solid rustic look. Spalting occurs when a tree is attacked by fungus. While respiratory precautions are required during turning, the stain of the fungus is all that remains after finishing. The results of spalting can be stunning. While the exact species of wood is a mystery, it is native to Oklahoma.
