Mahl Sticks

Home ] Up ]

The mahl sticks you find here were created at the request of Jerry Yarnell. We became friends while producing "Jerry Yarnell, School of Fine Art". Knowing that I am a woodturner he asked if I could make an elegant and economical mahl for his students.

I am back on my feet now, however, because of the demands of Woodturning Workshop I have not been able to make any mahls for the last few months. Currently only the Maple mahl is available. I hope to get back into the shop soon so I can add different woods to the store.

Dear Tim:

I just want to let you know that I received my Purpleheart mahl stick in the mail yesterday.  It is just beautiful!  I love the rich color of the wood and I like the antique-brass ends on it as well... I look forward to using the mahl stick to help me when I am painting for many years to come.
