I don't have any pictures from the inside of the house (I did
get my video though). It could have something to do with the fact that we
experienced a flashover upon entering the building. A flashover is a dangerous
situation where an intense fire has used up most of the oxygen in a room and
when an new oxygen source is offered the fire rushes to the new source. We were
just about 10 feet into the house when the flames rushed towards us and over us.
I was told later that the temperature of the flames were over 1500 degrees. I
was uninjured due to the professional and cool response of the fireman
controlling the hose. The only casualty was the melted foam windsock that
covered my on-camera microphone.
