Tim, Wonderful work, especially the winestoppers (which is the search that brought me here...!) Much inspiration for woodturners of lesser skill - truly inspiring. I will return with interest! Rik - UK

Hello Tim nice site and work you do. I was surfing the net and obtained your link from woodturning on line. I also linked from your site to the Northeastern Oklahoma Woodturners site and found it most interesting, well organized, and presented well. Hopefully someday I can view your fine work and visit with you in person. -- Bill Johnson, Norman OK

Nice site, Tim. I think you ought to be doing a show about turning wood. Maybe some students would volunteer some production time. Anyway, keep up the good work. -- Dale A. McKinney

Tim I enjoyed meeting you and Melinda Sun at the park. The website presents the excellence of your work very well. Of course pic's of Berend are the best. Mary and Rudy

Glad to see that you like firefighters. I was one for 25 Years here in Claremore. Your TV life looked very interesting. It is something I would have loved to do. I have always loved taking pictures.

I am also the Communications Officer for Rogers Co. Emergency Management. I watch the radar and control the weather spotters here. This is because of my other hobby, Ham Radio. I have done this for about 8 years... I worked the Catoosa tornado. I have some great shots of it and one of the only original pictures of the tornado. If you ever here the sirens go off here in Claremore, and you live here. There is a tornado on the ground and my spotters are watching it... SOOOO Take Cover !!!!! We do have some siren malfunctions, and test. So check it out if the weather is bad. I am also a great animal lover. Would love to meet you dog someday...Ha !!! Take Care, and God Bless... Tim, it takes more than catching a bug to do what you are doing on your lathe. I think it must have been a dormant creative gene that Ron awakened in you. At the rate you are going, as good as you are, I can't wait to see the art that you will produce in the coming years.

I am a new woodturner (just the past 1 1/2 years) and am still taking classes, but I was particularly happy to find a web site by a fellow Oklahoman--I live in Alva in the northwestern part of the state and work at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

From the photos, your work looks very fine--I particularly liked the sycamore platter in gallery 1. You have a very nice web site.

My husband recently gave me one of your mahls as a birthday present. My first thought was "You spent good money on a stick?" Well, let me apologize to you (and my husband). Once I picked up the mahl and felt the silkiness of the wood, the balance, and incredible lightness I was very impressed. Your mahls are, themselves, a work of art. From the wonderful finish of the wood to the beautiful brass ends this is so much more than a stick. It is a collectible and functional item that any painter would be proud to add to their painting kit.

Excellent work! I am a fan of turned wood and your work is of the highest quality. I bought one of your mahl sticks and it looks even better in person! I have the ebony and it has gotten many compliments from my painting friends. I had not used a mahl very much, but now I can't see myself painting without one.

Very nicely arranged website. Awesome turnings. Obviously you are a skilled turner. I was led to your page from the newsgroup posting you added to the photography thread. I am the newsletter editor of the Capital Area Woodturners of Washington DC. I also take take all the photos of the Show & Tel items that our members bring in (usually around 25 - 30 items each month - Phew!). I then publish these photos in the next month's newsletter. I am always interested in reading about hints and basic techniques about how to make my pictures better. I had never done anythijng likes this before, so I am making it up each month as I go along. You posting was quite helpful. Thanks and congratulations on your turning skills. Jim Marstall
