My name is Tim Yoder, and I have been infected with the wood turning bug. Fortunately it is not fatal, but a weekly dose of wood shavings is required to keep away the night sweats.

I recently produced and hosted (with a lot of help!) 26 television episodes of the "Woodturning Workshop" for RSU-TV, the Public Television Station that I work for. Much to our surprise the show was immediately made available to all PBS stations nationwide.

Because the show airs on nonprofit PBS stations I removed all of my 'for sale' items from this website. I do not want to profit from the success of the show by selling my work. Sharing the excitement of woodturning is payment enough. If you are wishing to contact me in regards to the show email me at tyoderATrsu.edu. Substitute the AT with the @ sign.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but this helps to cut down unwanted spam.

GOOD NEWS (6/18/2007) We have just received the go-ahead to start production of the second season of Woodturning Workshop! We will shoot 13 new episodes in the next couple of months. It will take till early next year to post, close caption and audio describe the new shows. Also we will be shooting in high definition.

For those of you who have been emailing me about DVD sales of the show you can now go to the Rogers State University website by clicking this link. There you will find a list of every episode of the first season and an order form. All proceeds will go back into new programming for RSU Public Television.

The only thing for sale on the site are Mahl Sticks. My station produced some of the Jerry Yarnell PBS episodes a while back. That is when Jerry asked me if I could make an affordable, functional and  collectable mahl stick for his students. What you find on the Mahl Sticks page is the result of our collaboration. Because these Mahls help students learn to paint, I will continue to sell the mahls to aid Jerry with his teaching.

Please feel free to browse the site. What you will find are some of my earliest works. I hope, in the near future, to have some time so I may update the site with my recent work.
